Hello! Welcome to my LTC website. This will be the third webpage that I have created for Leadership Training for Christ. This year (2013) we are studying the book of Matthew and I am calling this website – The King Has Come.
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me."
Participating in this project is a great way to share my belief that Jesus is King, Lord and Savior. I have learned much from the study of the gospel of Matthew and am excited to tell you all about it.
At this website I have chosen to highlight what I learned about the teachings of Jesus when He preached the Beatitudes and when He taught through parables. In the Beatitudes Jesus gave us the keys to a happy life and through various parables He taught us about the Kingdom of Heaven.
Matthew was a tax collector or “publican”, called by Jesus to become an apostle (Matthew 9: 9). He left everything to follow Christ. His other name was Levi. The name Matthew means “the gift of God”. The main message of his gospel account is the King and His Kingdom. Matthew wanted to convince the Jewish nation that Jesus was the Messiah they had been waiting for and that He was the fulfllment of the things spoken of by the prophets. Especially, the prophet Isaiah who said: "Thine eyes shall see the King in His beauty." (Isaiah 33: 17)
My web name for this project is "Tabitha", a biblical name from Acts 9:36, which means gazelle. Tabitha was called by another name, Dorcas. She was a godly woman, a Christian, who did good works and charity. My initials are JSF and I am in 6th grade.
